Thinking of hiring a bus company for a charter bus trip in or to the Greater Toronto Area? The GTA is packed with destinations ideal for your group trip this summer, but where to go? Here are some great ideas for fun spots to check out!
GTA Charters to Canada’s Wonderland
Groups of all ages flock here – it’s one of the first, and best, amusement parks in the entire country – and it has over 260 rides and attractions! It’s about a 30 minute drive from Toronto city centre located in Vaughan, Ontario. Hiring a charter bus service is definitely the best way to get a large group of people there at once with school bus rentals as the most affordable option. Also, make sure you get a group deal to help offset transportation costs! Pooling the group on a bus will also ensure…
No-one will get lost, no-one will have to stress about traffic, and everyone will be relieved to be able to just sit back and enjoy the ride!
Here is a small sampling of what’s in store for you when you visit Canada’s Wonderland:
- A 20-acre water park
- Live shows (past shows have included Chinese acrobats, stunt shows, and even a circus!)
- A 100km/hr, 23-story-high plunge on the Drop Tower
- The longest, and biggest, wooden roller coaster in Canada
- Rides and attractions to suit visitors of every age!
Make Your Own GTA Bus Tour
There’s no rule saying that you have to choose only one attraction. Consider making the day full of new and exciting sights by planning a route that will take you to more than one place!
First, have your group dropped off in the Distillery Historic District for a few hours. Everyone is sure to enjoy the huge variety of shops, plus the sculptures, art galleries, and wonderful restaurants.
Next, the driver can take you a short distance away to the St. Lawrence Market. This is where you go to stock up on all sorts of fabulous food offerings, including baked goods, meats, and cheeses. And don’t forget to check out the souvenir shops too… perhaps you’ll find a great memento of your day out in Toronto! Finally, take note that this is also a great spot for photography buffs to snap a few shots.
Finally, the CN Tower is a must-see. Consider timing your visit for close to sunset. This will allow you to capture some great daylight shots, as well as take in the view of the setting sun and lit-up city skyline at night. And be sure to take some shots from the ground that capture just how high this iconic structure really is!
A GTA Charter to Toronto Island Park
The bus will drop your group off at Harbourfront, where you’ll catch a 1930’s ferry to the park. If children are part of your group, Centreville (a children’s amusement park), is worth considering. You can get family rates and information for Centerville here. If not, then all ages are sure to enjoy checking out the beaches, hiking, canoeing, and more!
Don’t Forget the Toronto Blue Jays, Argos, FC (and Maple Leafs and Raptors)
We know, you won’t find Toronto Maple Leaf or Raptors playing in Toronto in the summer, but how can we not mention the GTA’s finest sports teams in case you’re planning ahead this summer to the start of a HOT fall season for Toronto basketball and hockey, then now’s the time. Of course, our boys of summer Blue Jays, Argos and FC soccer club are “now playing”!
Beyond sports, there’s always something going on this summer at the ACC or Rogers Centre!
Make the Most of Your Summertime Trip to Toronto
Not only will you have a lot of fun once you reach your destinations, but the bus ride itself is half the fun! Rather than being isolated in their own private vehicles during transport, everyone will be together and able to enjoy the company of one another all day long. There will be no stress about getting there on time, worries about getting lost, or expensive parking fees to pay. Hiring a charter bus for your next group outing in the GTA is the way to do it right!
